Important Policies and Procedures:
Housing Rules and Requirements
-Be actively living and engaging in housing requirements.
-Attend house meetings as scheduled. Currently they are Sunday at 12pm.
-Residents must attend a minimum of 2 recovery support meetings weekly, unless employed full time then a minimum of 1 recovery support meeting is required. Meetings include but not limited to- (12- step meetings, Celebrate Recovery, SMART recovery, Church….) Meeting slips will be verified during weekly house meetings.
-Have an active schedule of at least 25 hours per week engaging in any of the following:
-Attending outpatient SUD programming consistently as scheduled.
-Attend or engage in supportive recovery activities such as attending meetings, sport league, Gainful employment, Volunteering or Attending an accredited school.
-If there is a change, notify the house manager.
-Curfew at 10:00pm Sunday – Thursday.
-After 30 days you will have an 11pm curfew on Friday and Saturday.

-After 2 weeks you will be eligible to submit an Overnight Pass request for Friday or Saturday night. If on Saturday, you must be back by 12pm for the weekly House Meeting.
Drug Screening Policy
Drug Screening:

"I understand that I can be tested for Drugs and/or Alcohol at any time, for any reason, per my agreement with Hope Recovery. I am aware and have full knowledge that the person(s) administering the test(s) are my peers and not medical personnel. I am also aware that if I test positive, refuse compliance, or attempt to cheat/circumvent the test in any way, I will be evicted from Hope Recovery housing and required to leave the premises immediately."
Relapse Policy:
The following procedures will be immediately implemented for any resident reported to be impaired:

1. The Hope Recovery Manager notified of the possible impairment will assess the following of the resident in question:
a. Is the resident’s behavior erratic or uncharacteristic?
b. Does the resident have slurred speech or an unsteady gait?
c. Are the resident’s pupils dilated or constricted and/or eyes bloodshot?
d. Does the resident have an odor of alcohol or another substance?
e. If the resident is incapacitated and/or behavior is a danger to themselves or others, the Hope Recovery Manager will call 911.

2. The Hope Recovery House Manager will ask the resident in question if they used a substance and/or consumed alcohol. A urine analysis and Breathalyzer will then be administered.

3. If the resident tests negative for intoxicating substances and alcohol, a house meeting will be called to discuss the behavior that led to the concern. If the resident is visibly impaired, even with a negative screen, the Hope Recovery House Manager and Operator of Hope Recovery can determine the resident to be impaired and take actions to refer the resident to detox, CD assessment, or determine that a higher level of care is necessary.

4. If the resident tests positive for intoxicating substances and/or alcohol they are immediately discharged from the residence to Detox, CD Evaluation, or referred to a higher level of care.

5. Once the resident is deemed to be impaired the emergency contact is notified to assist in the transition to a higher level of care. The plan is clearly communicated with the emergency contact. Management will handle transportation to a higher level of care. Options are in the following order:
a. Detox/Treatment Center/Recovery Program
b. Family Member or Friend
c. Hotel/Motel d. Shelter

6. The impaired resident with the assistance of the emergency contact will be offered all available resources and encouraged to contact the local CD assessor, treatment center, or program of choice for pre-registration.

7. A room search will then be completed by the Hope Recovery House Manager to ensure no illegal or dangerous substances have been brought into the residence.
​
8. The Hope Recovery House Manager will document the incident within the EHR software and notify the Hope Recovery operator.
​
9. If the resident completes the recommended higher level(s) of care, the resident may be eligible to re-interview at the Hope Recovery housing.
